There is often the controversy about whether your makeup should match your dress for prom (or other big events or parties); here is a look to match almost any dress without overwhelming that stunning dress color! Doing bold lashes very volumizing and lengthy are a must while the neutral color scheme can vary. In this picture, it is a black and white classic shadow, meaning use a heavy duty shadow primer (Urban Decay is top but if you want a cheaper one use ELF's) and start off by covering your eyelid in a matter white. Next, use a black shadow and an angled brush to create a v-shape on the bottom of the crease and extend using a slight windshield wiper motion farther into the crease. Make sure not to create too dark of a crease past the v. To make your lashes look more full take a black eyeliner (I prefer a gel one with a small angled brush) and make a winged look into the bottom of the v. Put eye liner on your bottom water line and lash line (lash line can be overwhelming to some's eyes) and finally coat your lashes with your favorite mascara! To add a final touch, take a flat shadow brush and some silver or white glitter and packed it onto the lid closer to the inter-tearduct and not the crease.
TIP: For creating bold shadows like this, take a piece of tape and angle it from the end of your eyebrow to the edge of your eyelid ending by your bottom lashes, and another piece beneath the bottom lashes to ensure the powder doesn't fall onto other parts of your face. Make sure to use a fluffy brush to smudge out the harsh line before finishing.
XOXO
